I’ve been lucky enough to „borrow” some of my mom’s Gucci bags and shoes from the ’60s and ’70s (all classic tan leather and chunky gold logo). Starting today, this free service will be offered through Gucci.com; simply upload photos of your vintage items and, within two to four weeks bamschaatsteam , you’ll find out an auction estimate. Director of Fashion and Textiles, Patricia Frost, will even let you know if your item is appropriate for an upcoming Christie’s vintage sale. This exciting service coincides with the house’s plans to open the first Gucci museum in Florence (the birthplace of the brand) in time for its 90th anniversary in 2011.
